A crossover between Animon Story and Break!! RPG is one of many new features unlocked by the expansion Kickstarter campaign.

I'm absolutely thrilled to announce a collaboration between Animon Story and Break!! RPG! I'll be working with Reynaldo Madriñan/Naldobean Games (@NaldoDrinan) and Carlo Tartaglia/Grey Wizard Press (@MysteriousPath) on a chapter for Legend's Wake.

I, like many others, have eagerly followed the development of Break!! for many years. In 2023, over 10,000 backers helped make the game a reality, and ever since I got my copy I've been absolutely charmed by the vibrant world and illustrations, precise and well-crafted rules, and by just how much fun this game brings to the table.

This will be a fantastic addition to Legend's Wake - both for Break!! fans and Animon Story fans! We're excited to include fun crossovers between the Dunia Region and Outer World, but have no fear-the module will be based around fun optional mechanics that can be included in any Animon Story game.

Legend's Wake Expansion Evolves

Coming up on the end of the first week since launching Animon Story: Legend’s Wake on Kickstarter, I am so delighted with how well it’s been received so far. Not only did we fund within 3 hours and reach nearly 300% funded after 1 week, but we've already unlocked a huge number of additions and extras through the stretch goals!

There are now ten new Kid Types on the way for players to choose when creating characters, four of them unlocked via stretch goals. These include the Specialist, Sleuth, Outsider, and Mystic, sure to bring a fresh perspective.

Not only that, but new game mechanics and story have been added, such as Secret Base rules evoking a fan-favourite feature of Pokémon, an Epilogue Adventure to revisit the campaign after it's finished, a new Mythical Animon released somewhere in the Dunia Region, and more.

Future stretch goals will add a Mystery Dungeon inspired spin-off mode, expanded guidance for creating and using Villain Teams in your campaign, and a double sided poster map displaying the Dunia Region, with an animon checklist on the back.
